A play area does not need to display every toy at once. Start by clearing a usable surface and choosing a small set of suitable items.
Make choices visible
Group similar objects in containers that an adult can check easily. Keep required instructions, age information and warnings with the toys. Store items intended for older children separately when needed.
Leave room for unfinished ideas
If space allows, keep an in-progress project where it can be returned to safely. Ask before dismantling something a child is still interested in.
Check for damaged or missing parts during tidying, and follow the manufacturer’s guidance for cleaning and storage. A simple reset can make the next play session easier to begin.
